This summer I met Alexis while photographing her son at a picture party. She emailed me a few weeks later enquiring if I would take a head shot of her for the back of her new book. I was thrilled, honored and nervous all at once. After all, I'm a member of two book clubs and always look at the portrait of the author on the "About The Author" page. I spoke with Alexis who came up with the great idea of taking the head shot with her son Lucas since she was writing a baby book. After sitting down together in front of my computer sipping Starbucks, we came up with the final photo for her book, and I had made a new friend! The book is now finished and I just had to share it's website with all of you.
I remember the day Joel & I brought Isabelle home from the hospital. Before we left the nurses said; "she should eat this many times a day, pee this many time a day, and poop this many times a day". I was sleep deprived, nervous and sore...I could barely remember to eat myself, more or less remember how many wet diapers Isabelle had in the past 12 hours. Finally I grabbed a piece of paper and started writing things down, but always ended up misplacing the piece of paper or losing it all together. That's where Baby's Little Log Book comes in! It's got a place for Moms & Dads to write it all down so you don't lose track. A lot of my girlfriends are pregnant right now, and this will be a fabulous gift for their showers (you girls know who you are, so no purchasing the book for yourselves ;).
Below is the picture I took of Alexis & Lucas that now graces her book. Enjoy!!

Ms. Michelle's Infant Class
I purposefully don't book any picture parties after August 31st because that's when my busy season picks up, but I couldn't say no when Belle's old Mommy & Me teacher came-a-callin'. Isabelle & I spent two years in Ms. Michelle's infant & toddler classes... learning new things, singing songs, dancing, bonding and having fun.
I met her and her infants' class down on Coronado Island last week for some picture taking fun! What CUTIE PIES!!! All of the kids were between 4 and 13 months, and most of them were learning how to sit up on their own or just started crawling. Below are a few of my favorites from the day, though I could have posted countless more. Enjoy!!
