Lily is ONE {The Beld Family}

We all say it over and over again... just how quickly time goes, and there's nothing like a birthday to remind us of that. It seems like yesterday that I took Lily's newborn photos, and now she is 1. I can vividly remember how & when her Momma told me that she was pregnant, and then I was so excited to find out that we were both having girls; I knew they'd be life long buddies! This little cutie is simply a pleasure to be around and is one of the happiest kids I've ever met.

Aiden is One {Davis Family}

I met up with the Davis family last week at Balboa Park to celebrate Aiden's 1st birthday and to grab some family photos. Aiden was sooooo good, and a natural in front of the camera. He even took a few steps for us while we were there.

I did learn something new during this session...the squirrels at Balboa Park are not only quite chunky, but they're also not at all afraid of humans. At one point I thought one of the squirrels was going to walk up and take cake right out of Aiden's mouth! Luckily they waited till we were done and then pounced on the crumbs left on the ground. No wonder they're so chunky!!

Ethan is One!!!!

I have been photographing this little guy since he was in his Mommy's belly, and now he is one. We were supposed to do a session at Windansea Beach, but the weather wasn't cooperating so we moved it to Balboa Park. While there was some rain on and off, the light was beautiful and we had a fun time walking around the park. Mr. E recently took his first steps so we tried to capture it on film, but he was feeling a bit shy and wasn't quite up to going for it on concrete just yet (can't say as I blame him).

Provins Family

I met up with one of my favorite families last weekend. Hard to believe that just a little over a year ago I was taking Tracy's maternity pictures, and then Cooper's newborn pictures. Reminds me again of just how much can change in 12 short months.

Cooper has become quite the little man, and is such a happy baby. Carter is an amazing older brother, and loves his baby brother to pieces. Since the boys' birthdays are just a few weeks apart, we celebrated both of them with some lollipops, and then of course Cooper got to have his first cake!! I have to admit that these are some of my favorite images to capture and Cooper certainly didn't dissapoint :)

Cooper Is One!!!

I just starting to edit the photos from my sessions on Saturday, and had to post this little sneak peek. As I was going through the photos this one jumped out at me and I just had to post it now! Cooper has some of the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen and the camera absolutely LOVES him. Doesn't he look like he's thinking, "oh cupcake, where have you been all my life?"

I'm SO happy to be back behind the camera! My maternity leave reminded me of just how lucky I am to be doing what I love for a living!!!!

Montgomery Family

Have you ever had one of those sessions where you feel like you could blog the whole thing, every last photo?? Well here is mine, and what a fun session it was! Olivia is turning 1 in a few short weeks, and to commemorate her big day, Mommy & Daddy brought her to me for a few photos. I asked them if it would be okay for me to bring a cupcake because it would make for some adorable pictures, and they went right along with my idea (Jenn, I hope one of these works for her birthday party invites!!).

This family is FULL of laughter & love, and it shines through in EVERY photo!
