Chris & Amanda Tie the Knot {Pre-ceremony Photos}

So you know how I said I'd never photograph weddings? Well, never say never! Amanda contacted me last Spring about photographing her wedding. I told her that I'm not a wedding photographer, and she asked if I'd make an exception for her. After meeting her for coffee I was in. She was so sweet, I loved all of her ideas, and I knew that I'd really enjoy shooting her big day.

Chris & Amanda got married at Marina Village on Mission Bay. I was so excited that they decided to see each other prior to the ceremony, so we met at Presdio Park with the wedding party for their "first look" and some pre-ceremony photos.

Congratulations Chris & Amanda on your beautiful day, and thank you again for trusting in me enough to be a part of it (ceremony and reception photos to follow in another post).

Mike & Rich's Wedding

I received a call a few weeks ago from Mike, our Realtor extraordinaire who I'm now fortunate enough to also call friend. He and his partner Rich were finally going to tie the knot after 14 years together. He told me that they were putting together something very intimate with a few of their closest friends. Words cannot express how honored I was that Mike wanted me to photograph his wedding and to be a part of the day they've waited so long for. Thank you both for a wonderful evening on the beach and cheers to many, MANY more happy years together! You are beautiful people, inside & out!!

Nelson & Janelle's Wedding

GORGEOUS! That word sums up Nelson & Janelle's wedding. From the church they were married at, Our Lady of the Rosary in Little Italy, to the reception at the Four Seasons Aviara, to the beautiful bride - everything was simply gorgeous. I went to the wedding with my great friend Pilar, and we had a fantastic time. After a few martinis we spent most of the night on the dance floor, and stopped just long enough take some pictures and eat some cake.... ooohhhh the cake, I am wanting more this morning - chocolate/bannana with the most delicious frosting, Mmmmmm. Thanks again Janelle & Nelson for letting me share your special day with you!!!

Curtis & Val's Wedding

My co-worker, and very good friend, Val got married this weekend at Pechanga. While I'm not a wedding photographer, I always love taking pictures at my friends' weddings. Val has the most contagious laugh, and she made us all smile when she got the giggles in the middle of the ceremony. The reception was a lot of fun, and since Val used our DJ (Mick, The Elite British DJ) I got to request all the 80s songs my little heart desired during the reception. Below are a couple of great shots from the day. CONGRATULATIONS Val & Curtis!!
