I met up with this beautiful family right before Dad shipped out for his deployment. I wanted to make sure that he had some beautiful photos to take with him, and also for his girls to have more fun memories of playtime with their Dad. I honestly can't imagine my husband being gone for months at a time, and have a huge respect for military families and all that they give up for us, and our freedom!

I am SO happy to finally blog about Chris & Amanda's engagement session for more than one reason... The first is because I'm finally feeling well enough to sit up for a few hours and edit photos. As I was editing I fell in love with what I do all over again. I didn't realize just how much I've missed being behind the camera these last 5 weeks. The second is because Chris & Amanda are the most patient, understanding clients and I'm so happy to finally be able to show them their photos. Thank you both so much from the bottom of my heart for bearing with me these last few weeks!!!!!
We started their session down at The Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach and finished up at Paradise Point in Mission Bay. Chris & Amanda even brought the "kids" along for a few shots. Mother Nature smiled down on us that day, and we lucked out with some lovely weather for early March. These two are simply adorable together and love to laugh and smile.

I got to shoot one of my favorite families this weekend, my girlfriend Wilma and her handsome son Robert. I have known Robert since the moment he came into this world and took his first breath - he also happens to be my Godson. Wilma is the most amazing person and other than my Mom, the strongest woman I know! Her strength shines through in these photos, as well as her love & devotion for Robert.
Wilma suggested we shoot this year's photos at Paradise Point in Mission Bay, somewhere where she and Robert go often and also where she and Michael were married. Wow, the grounds there were just beautiful and I can tell this is going to be one of my favorite new places to shoot. Thanks Wilma for suggesting it. Love you both!!!!
