The Poling Family

I was so excited to FINALLY have a session with my great friend Cindy & her beautiful family last week. Due to the high tide that morning we decided to switch their shoot to sunset, and I'm so glad we did because the light was fabulous. Unfortunately though it seemed that every other photographer in San Diego had the same thought, and it was crowded with a capital "C". This was the first time I had to maneuver around not only the people on the beach, but also around the other families getting their pictures taken, the photographers taking them, and what seemed like their entire staff assisting them. In the end it all worked out, and we found some great little spots to take their photos.

While this wasn't Cindy's maternity session (yet!), I had to grab some photos of her in her gorgeous dress, showing off her growing belly. I will save her amazing pregnancy story for her maternity session, but her pregnancy truly is a miracle and she is simply glowing (don't argue with me here Cindy, you ARE!). Enjoy!!

Zeis Family

Thursday night I met one of my very favorite families down at Windansea beach for some sunset pictures. Momma Zeis (a.k.a. Trista) is one of my dearest friends, and her daughter Eva happens to be Isabelle's BFF. I really wanted to get some amazing pictures of this wonderful family, and have some fun doing it at the same time.

Before I share some of their images, I want to take this time to say "THANK YOU" to Trista who has honestly been one of my biggest cheerleaders. She's given me countless referrals, been a shoulder to lean on, and picked me up and patted me on the back when I didn't think I could do it. Thank you Trista!!!

Enjoy!!

Michael & Kanchan Anniversary Photos

Let me start off by saying how much fun this shoot was! Michael & Kanchan were in town visiting family from Canada, and also happened to be celebrating their 1st Wedding Anniversary. Kanchan's sister (who's family I photographed last Winter) contacted me to see if I would take photos of them as an anniversary gift from her. Not only did she set up the whole session, but she also scheduled a day of pampering for her sister pre-shoot (what a fabulous sister huh?!).

These two are absolutely beautiful inside & out, and didn't hesitate to do anything that I asked of them. The beach was pretty crowded since it was Labor Day Weekend, but we managed to find some quiet spots. Thanks so much Shivi, Michael & Kanchan for such a fun evening. Your photos turned out beautifully and it was tough for me to pick out just a few favorites. I hope you enjoy them too!!

Valerie & Bernard Engagement Pictures

After the stress of moving and being sick all week it was great to get behind the camera again on Friday night! I couldn't have asked for a better couple to photograph too... Valerie & Bernard are getting married in Vegas next month, and Valerie contacted me in May to see if I could do their engagement pictures. I knew right away it was going to be a great shoot because Valerie was working her beautiful white dress, and she was a natural in front of the camera. I loved the fact that Bernard couldn't keep his eyes off of her, and you could feel his love and protection for her through the lens. I got goosebumps pressing the shutter! Congrats to both of you on your up and coming wedding and cheers to lifetime of happiness!!!!!!

Kim Family

As you all know, the weather last weekend was phenomenal, even for San Diego! Sunday night I took full advantage of it and watched the most amazing sunset with the Kim family. Noel & her husband have 3 beautiful daughters, and Noel brought her Mom along for the shoot as well. The girls had a great time playing in the water, and we all enjoyed watching the sun go down while I grabbed some AWESOME shots!
