R Family

I met the R family two weekends ago on a beautiful Sunday evening. I knew the beach would likely be a bit more crowded than usual due to the incredible weather we had been having, but was shocked to see just how many people were actually there. It could have easily been Labor Day or Memorial Day, and parking alone took me 15 minutes.

Since this family is a bit internet shy, Momma R asked me not to post any photos that would give away their identity, but that's okay because I got some simply beautiful photos I could share with all of you as the sunny beach weather made for some amazing shadow and silhouette images! These are always some of my favorites to take at the beach, and even though it was jammed packed with people, you would never know it from the angles I used and the shots I got.

Arciaga Family

I met Stacy and her family down at Powerhouse Beach in Del Mar last week for some family fun. It was surprisingly hot that morning, but we made the most of it and were blessed with a nice empty beach. Her son is a ball of energy and I had so much fun capturing all of his facial expressions. Their daughter was the opposite, and was quite content to just sit on the beach letting the sand run through her fingers. So sweet!!

8.11.08 Picture Party

Monday brought me to Powerhouse Park in Del Mar for another picture party, and boy were these kids ready for their close ups! Talk about personalities; these kids had 'em!! Maybe it was the fresh ocean air, or the beautiful San Diego sunshine, or maybe they thought I was funny? Whatever it was, we had a good time and the photos definitely reflect that.

How stinkin' cute are these two?!! Maybe their parents will let me photograph their wedding ;)
