7.22.08 Playgroup Picture Party

I kicked off Playgroup Picture Party season with Lili's playgroup in Rancho Penasquitos. For those of you who don't know what picture parties are let me explain... I join a playgroup on a regularly scheduled day, and take pictures of the children in that playgroup for a few hours. I usually spend between 5-10 minutes per child taking photos to get some great candid, and sometimes posed shots. This is so much fun for me because you have be quick on your feet; every child is different and I never know how they're going to react to me. As you can tell from the pictures below most of the kids were just trying to figure me (and my camera) out. Thank you Stacy for opening your lovely home to me! Your yard was a great backdrop to some beautiful photos.

This little guy really wasn't sure what to make of me and didn't want to have much to do with the camera for the first 20 frames. When he sat down in a chair I plopped down on the ground and started rolling around. Next thing you know he was lauging and just happend to put his face down on the arm of the chair for a split second. The result, one my favorite photos of the day!!
